Buffet Lunch At Lebua

As mentioned earlier, the hotel package comes with a buffet lunch. All the while, the plan was to have it on the same day before returning to singapore...

The funny thing was when we got to the restaurant, which is also the same place as where we had our breakfast, there is basically no one. We are the first or maybe the second to arrive... and it was a little intimidating to see everyone looking at us having our lunch
The environment of the place really builds the place up...

Lebua - A Luxury Hotel

Lebua Hotel

A must try for anyone that goes to Bangkok. Since this trip is for baby's birthday, i check ourselves into this hotel. Acutally i came across this hotel some time ago when i receive some pics from friends stating the highest bar in Asia. So being an ID, i thought baby would appreciate the deco at this location.

The trip was actually planned with staying at this hotel and at night, we would go up to the 64th floor for dinner. But due to the time contraint that we had, we didn't really got the chance to do it. In the end, we had to just settle with going up to the hotel and maybe have a drink there.

When we got up to the 64th floor, the first thing we notice is the place is packed. It completed pack and you can't really enjoy the ambience of the place. One bad point is that you are not allowed to take photo at the Sirocco Restaurant / Sky Bar. They even have security there to ensure this is strictly followed. But i managed to take one in the day time when the place is still not open yet as you can see on the top left.

We did get a very good package for this hotel which i dont they have it anymore. The room comes breakfast as well as buffet lunch. And trust me, you will be surprised at lunch.

On top of that, we were also welcome in our room with some fruits and chocolates. And there are also BVLGARI toileteries supplied in the toilet for our pre-usal. All in all, this hotel is great and we truly enjoyed our stay here.

Suan Lum Nigh Bazaar ( Also know as Lumpini Night Market )

Actually i prefer the name Lumpini Night Market rather than Suan Lum Night Bazaar...kekekeke...guess cos that was how i was introduced to it.

Its basically selling similar stuff to Chatuchak Weekend Market but i think its a little more pricier here..saw a lot of deco lights that i really like but no where to put in my room anymore. A definite place to come for those that are preparing to move into a new house or place... you can get everything much more cheaper here as compared to singapore.

Bossotel Hotel

Book this hotel from the internet. It look quite good from the pictures.

Even from the pictures that i taken, i would also agree that it was nice.

Think was paying abt RM90 for a room here plus breakfast. This hotel is located at an alley way on the way to Shangrilla Hotel...

It was also located quite near to one of the sky train station that will be our main mode of transport around bangkok since i really can be bothered haggling with the taxi drivers or tuk tuk.

But the room was not really what i had expected. Its totally different from the pic in the internet. Maybe cos its was a better grade room which i was not willing to pay for. But at least was much better than the white Orchid which we stayed in last time we were here...

Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok in the new airport. Was really big. The reception was not really much like the bangkok that we normally know. I seem to have the impression that we are in a shopping centre basement. Everything was really grey in colour. The lights was also not sufficient.... no....they have a lot of lights ....just that the light bulbs was not really bright....making the whole place looks gloomy. We tried taking some pics but didnt really come out well....even the on the left here is adjusted...

Since this is our first time here, didn't really know where everything is and had a tough time asking where the airport express bus is.

I think they should have better signage on the place to tell foreign tourist where everything is located...and by the way....what happen to the tourisn of thailand counter????

Finally found the place where we should take the airport bus....Ground Floor... each person cost abt B150and guess what...i forgotten to get my change back....only realise that when i got to the hotel and it was already too late. So in the end, paid B500 for two person....AND u know what... taking a taxi cost only B400.....arghhhhh.... ( only found out abt that on the way back )....serves me right for being trying to be thrifty.....well, too bad.....off to the hotel...

The beginning of the journey

We started the journey from Singapore's Budget terminal. As the name implies, it is really empty. Luckily we came here prior to our departure and was prepared with our lunch... Was quite surprised to find 7-11 in the airport. Bought some drinks and tit bits to bring up the plane since snacks are not provided in the tiger airways unless u willing to pay for exhorbent prices for them.

The areas after the immigration was not bad but think that they should use more colors like the boarding gate to make the place more lively.

ORIENTAL hotel

Well, didnt really know what to do with baby's birthday .

Came across an advert to stay at The Oriental in Singapore.

Price was a little more that what i normally pay for when i stay in singapore but i must say that the whole experience was worth the money. From reception till going to the room, to breakfast even the front doorreception, its was superb. Even the valet parking was complementary to the room. I did really enjoy the room. Maybe didn't stay at a Five STAR hotel before but really "sua ku" or even go to another five star hotel to try again. Some of our friends did went to the room with us and when i told them, they say maybe cos of the IMF , thats why the excellent service.

wish will have another chance to come back.

Food in KL

One of the must try while in KL was the A&W. They sort of closing down the places in JB as well as in Singapore. But the root beer that we had in KL was kind of flat. Guess someone let the gas out.
Other food that we had was the pie at Dome Cafe. Dont really see it in JB anymore since they shut down the place in City Square.

We also tried out a penang restaurant in One Utama which was not bad but dont recommend you their Ice Kachang. Dont know why but they put cocnut milk in them. Really spoils the taste. Heard from friend that Penang food normally will try to put coconut milk in everything.

Will have to justify that one day when we head to Penang..

KL Holiday

Been a while since i log onto this site. So now have to rush to give u all the details in the trip.
Some of the pictures of the trip

This is the apartment that we stayed at in KL. it belongs to a friend of ours.

Now and Forever

Was bored last night cos baby got to do something for someone else.

So watch a Korean Movie called " Now and Forever "

Was very touch by the show...tear drops at the end of the show. Recommend everyone to go and watch the show.

Storyline: A little simple but very rewarding...

A playboy had an accident and wanted to check into the hospital to have a thorough body check up to make sure that there was no prob( he was having a sore neck ). On the way to the hospital, he met our lead actress who is on the wayto the hospital. From the look on the guys' eyes, i think he was smitten by our lead actress. He was trying to chat the girl up without much success. when they reach the hospital, our lead actress just ran out of the car leaving her hand phone in the car. Thinking that the girl was a nurse, he went floor by floor to check on all the duty rosters to see whether he can find the lead actress.

It turns out that the playboy's wad is actually across from the lady's wad ( sorry, i am always very bad with names. So can't remember their names and yes!!!!!!!!!!!. she is a patient there, she quite often sneaks out of the hospital ). They started talking and one thing led to another and they started going out. But my only comment was they never talk abt why they were in hospital... Maybe miss out during the translations...

I think i better stop here for those that wants to watch the movie....just be careful if u are watching at a cinema....make sure u bring some tissue....

Have fun...

PS. Cherish what you have now

Sillouettes

This is a series of photos that I have taken from my trip to New Zealand. The first few was shots of my friend and his kid, which i like to call the "Fatherly love" shots. Wonders of the kid holding hand with his father by the sea side.... Personally, sad to say I don't think I had that type of love before....mayb that is the reason why i turn out the way i did today ( getting a little too personal here....kekekekeke )
Don't be mistaken that the last shot is a blank. Look more closely and you shall see the wonders.

A little under the weather

Unlike this picture, i am a little under the weather lately. Thats why havent been wrtiting much. This is a photo that i had taken while on a holiday with a long time friend in New Zealand. Absolutely love the place. This is taken on a boat while we we crusing on the Milford Sound. If any of you have the change you must go and see it... Guess i am a nature kind of guy. Normally i will take more scenery shots rather than take myself in the picture. Mayb i am just not photogenic

Interesting Photo

Took this photo on the way to the Arts Museum in Singapore. Thought the bamboo surrounding the angel look odd. Angel being the symbol of Christianity and bamboo being one of the item most seen in Japanese Garden.
